Hi, I’m Jamie 👋
I’ve been practicing design for almost twenty years, honing my expertise in product design, information architecture, design systems, and creative direction. Over the last decade at Google I’ve made the internet better for billions of people around the world through a relentless pursuit to elevate the design quality of Google Search, YouTube, and Workspace. By seeking out problems that no one else wanted to address - like modernizing our mobile framework (Eames), developing an algorithmic transparency framework (WTR), and supercharging mature products with generative AI (SGE) - we’ve made it easier for people to understand and navigate the internet landscape while ensuring our product experience meets ambitious expectations.
Outside of work I love to travel, read, nurture the garden, maintain my historic home, and cook for my community. I love hosting supper clubs to bring big groups together around the dinner table for a long meal and deep conversation. These meals have spawned countless recipes you see here that utilize leftovers, swap in seasonal ingredients, and adapt for specific dietary restrictions.
