The mission of the Advanced Capabilities & Effects (ACE) team is to make it fun and easy for everyone to create and the GenAI workstream spearheads the development of responsible genAI experiences for creators on YouTube. As Design Lead, my responsibilities include aligning ACE investments with broader YouTube product strategy, codifying trust & policy principles, and articulating a compelling multi-year vision in collaboration with xfn partner teams across YT.

Sr. Staff Design Lead & Manager, 2022-2024
Directed a cross-functional team to incubate how we might leverage rapidly evolving technology like LLMs and generative AI to radically enhance the Search experience. Responsible for the development, I/O announcement, and Labs launch of Search Generative Experience “SGE”. Filed 6 patents, architected corroboration, introduced new functionality, languages, and scaled to new markets and user cohorts.
Staff Design Lead & Manager, 2020-2021
Hired & led a team of interdisciplinary UXers focused on the organic shopping Search experience. Led work across complex org structures with independent incentives in Ads & Commerce to deliver a cohesive whole page experience for categorical & research shopping queries.
Staff Design Lead, 2019-2020
Formed a cross-functional braintrust to understand and address a recent decline in consumer trust. Conducted research, developed behavioral hypotheses, and investigated inner workings of Search ranking. Designed the algorithmic transparency framework for Search to explain ranking and improve consumer information literacy. Read more.

Led modernization of the mobile Search design system, optimizing extensible patterns for tappability, attribution, containment, and brand. Spearheaded redesign of webresults to include visual attribution pattern, card caps. Authored framework evaluation criteria for teams working outside the core PA to enable ui coherence. Designed new product experiences for food, nutrition, cooking, and recipe content in Search, establishing a content-forward web result format for mobile framework. Read more. Designed new product features for Search including mobile answer cards for music lyrics, lottery results, internet speed tests, train schedules, and sound search.

Art, Copy & Code is an incubator that partners with product teams, major brands, and top agencies to develop projects built with burgeoning technologies. As the first Creative Lead on the team I worked on projects with the Tango device and Target, real time marketing and Nike, gif generators and Madden Sports, YouTube and Hunger Games, while directing the redesign of ACC’s brand and website.

iAd was Apple's advertising platform for iOS including web, native, and iTunes Radio. The creative development team worked with agencies and brands to bring their campaigns to life on our network through e2e creative development.

Inspired by Louise Bourgeois, Janine Anthonie and Cindy Sherman, my artistic thesis centers on the manipulation of media as a critique on the subjugation of womanhood under patriarchy. “Read Between the Lines” deconstructs the absolutism of gender, exposing beauty beyond the binary.
