Search Mobile Redesign
Following the redesign of the Google logo in 2016, Search was at an inflection point - evolving from a document portal to a diverse corpus of rich content, yet our ui was still deeply rooted in our history of indexing weblinks. So, at the request of Sundar, we set out to modernize the mobile Search design system to enable new types of interactions and information consumption, while reinforcing our brand in delightful, proprietary moments.
Between 2017 - 2019 we launched a series of changes to evolve our mobile ui system - from reducing extraneous ui elements, to updating the ui color of our link to align to our new brand palette, and redesigning attribution to be more visual and easier to scan.
